RIM(Research In Motion) has announced the launch of their latest handset which will replace the massively popular BlackBerry Bold 9000 debuted in November 2008, The BlackBerry Bold 9700.
The BlackBerry Bold 9700 features a new design, and is slightly smaller than the previous model, measuring 4.29 inches tall by 2.36 inches wide by 0.56 inches thick and it weighs in at 4.3 ounces.
The new BlackBerry Bold 9700 features a 2.44 inch HVGA display with a resolution of 480 x 360, and it features a similar 35 key QWERTY keyboard to the previous model, the camera has also had a bump up with the BlackBerry Bold 9700 featuring a 3.2 megapixel camera.
The trackball navigator from the Bold 9000 has been replaced with a touch sensitive trackpad, and it also comes with a 3.5mm audio jack, it features double the internal flash memory with 256MB but this can be expanded up to 32GB with a microSD card. The BlackBerry Bold 9700 is a quad band mobile phone and it features built in WiFi, A-GPS, Bluetooth,3G connectivity.
It will go on sale worldwide in November, there is no word on pricing as yet.
